Time to write: breath

23rd June 2022 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Celebrate National Writing Day with this creative writing workshop led by poet and nurse Romalyn Ante, exploring the theme of breath

In this session we’ll look at works by acclaimed authors and examine how they can guide us on our own writing journey. Let’s write on the theme of ‘breath’ and what it means for us, especially during the last two years.

Romalyn Ante left her home country of the Philippines in 2005 when her mother, a nurse in the NHS, brought the family to the UK. Romalyn currently practises as a Specialist Nurse Practitioner. Her debut poetry collection, Antiemetic for Homesickness, was published in 2020. She was recently awarded the Jerwood Compton Poetry Fellowship 2021/22.
