Tackling Health Inequalities: Health is Wealth
The Royal Society of Medicine and NHS England welcome you to our third Tackling Health Inequalities conference on Tuesday 28 January 2025.
Building on the success of the two preceding conferences, this year’s conference will continue to champion the vital mission of tackling health inequalities and the programme’s strategic Core20PLUS5 approach.
Join us for a comprehensive day of learning, where we will seek to strengthen collaborative efforts across industry, research, and employment sectors, and drive the conversation with a mixture of keynote speeches, fireside chats, breakout room sessions, and guest speakers. We will conclude with a motivational speaker and networking drinks reception. Leave the day inspired to be a catalyst for change in your community and write your pledge to support improving health inequality.
By attending this event, you will:
- Gain a deeper understanding of the Core20PLUS5 approach and its practical applications to address healthcare inequalities
- Learn skills and tools to improve leadership and accountability in health inequality initiatives
- Gain insights into best practices and innovative projects, with opportunities to share and learn from successful implementations

Abstract Competition
Deadline: Sunday 1 December 2024 at 11:59pm (GMT)
The Royal Society of Medicine and NHS England are hosting an abstract competition to showcase work in tackling health inequalities.
Abstract submissions should demonstrate ways in which we can tackle health inequalities, using the following themes:
- Good examples of Life Sciences involving communities in product design & development
- Good examples of employment as a tool for tackling health inequalities.
- Examples of inclusive research
Participants are invited to submit their abstracts in PDF format via email to content@rsm.ac.uk Please ensure that authors’ names are removed from the abstract before submitting, as judging will be anonymous.
The top 3 submissions will be invited to give a 10-minute oral presentation at this Tackling Health Inequalities Conference on Tuesday 28 January 2025. The remaining shortlisted submissions will be invited to present a poster at the conference.
