SWiG Annual Conference

Save the date for the BSG SWiG Conference which will be taking place from 21st – 22nd April 2022 at the Leeds Met Hotel.
We would be delighted to welcome you to the third Annual Conference of one of the fastest-growing committees within the BSG – Supporting Women in Gastroenterology (SWiG). Open to all, and supporting diversity across the whole organisation and speciality, this conference will give you the skills you need to achieve your goals in gastroenterology and hepatology.
For younger, older, male and female gastroenterologists of all ethnicities and backgrounds, it can sometimes feel that there are barriers in our way during our long careers. At this conference, you’ll hear how to overcome these, and how to help those who are at risk of being held back by them. The 2019 conference featured a hugely talented line-up of speakers, practical workshops and networking opportunities in a friendly and engaging atmosphere. The 2022 event promises to be all that and more.
Conference Objectives
- Promoting diverse representation in leadership, endoscopy and academic roles within gastroenterology
- Addressing the issues that affect women in the workforce with practical solutions
- Supporting delegates preparing for career transitions
- Enabling delegates to advocate for themselves and others and embrace change
- Recognising the factors that lead to attrition in the workforce and how to tackle them
