RCN Essex – The Future of Nursing
Join other RCN Essex branch members for this in-person event looking at the future of nursing.
Our team of expert speakers will be discussing the following topics:
- Nursing workforce challenges – Emma Sweeney, Director of Nursing, Basildon Hospital
- How nurses went from being doctors’ handmaidens to independent professionals – Dianne Yarwood, History of Nursing Forum.
- The different pathways available to access nursing – Matt Osborne, Chair of the Essex branch.
- The future direction of nursing and the RCN Nursing Workforce Standards – Lena Johnson, RCN Nursing Workforce Professional Lead.
- Update on the RCN’s Sensemaker project – Sam Westbrook, RCN Eastern lead nurse for independent health and social care.
A light lunch will be provided at this event so please notify us of any special dietary requirements when booking your place. If you can no longer attend after booking, please let us know so your place can be offered to another member.
