Psychology and leadership in surgery

3rd December 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Most surgical events concentrate on the clinical matter at hand. However, one cannot be a safe and effective member of an effective surgical team without recognising what the non-technical aspects of surgical practice involve. This event will talk about these rarely addressed but practically essential non-technical aspects of being a surgeon.

We hope you will join us in person for this event but if you are unable you can sign up for the live stream version here.

Topics of the event include:

  • Know about the psychological needs of surgeons as well as the leadership skills required to be a surgeon
  • Be able to use the lessons learned from surgeons as well as non-medical professionals to increase resilience, reduce stress and contribute actively to a multidisciplinary team
