Obstetrics and gynaecology registrars and trainee meeting

This year’s final meeting is exclusively dedicated to trainees and Registrars, featuring an annual event with opportunities for presentations and prize competitions. Trainees can submit posters and free communications for various prizes, including the Dame Josephine Barnes Essay prize for the best essay (to be announced), the Herbert Reiss prize for the best ongoing research Free Communication, and an additional prize for the Best Poster reflecting ongoing research. Shortlisted candidates will give brief oral presentations—3 minutes for posters and 5 minutes for free communications.

A head-to-head presentation by the top three Specialist Trainee teams from the previous meetings on different subjects is also planned, with the best team receiving an award. Audience participation is encouraged, and teams can bring colleagues for support. Modest, inanimate mascots (one per team) are also welcome.

The purpose of this meeting is:

• For attendees to hear a broad range of topics that have been well-researched by up-and-coming obstetricians and gynaecologists
• For registrars and trainees to present their research from multiple subspecialties and receive a critical review and feedback on their work
