The 2022 Stevens lecture live stream will see Professor James Larkin, Consultant Medical Oncologist from The Royal Marsden Hospital in London, provide an insightful presentation into the looming reality of curing metastatic solid tumours with immune checkpoint inhibitors and the possible outcomes of this prospect for millions of patients around the world.
In the last 15 years, immune checkpoint inhibitors have been developed clinically for the treatment of cancer and these drugs are approved for the treatment of a number of different tumour types. In certain types of cancer such as melanoma, outcomes have been transformed and the possibility of cure of metastatic disease appears to be a realistic prospect.
