This live stream brings together multidisciplinary experts for a day that focuses on some of the most challenging aspects of orbital surgery. We will learn from specialists in Ophthalmology, Oculoplastic Surgery, Radiation Oncology and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

This meeting is held in association with the RSM Ophthalmology Section.

During this meeting you will:

• Explore advances in orbital cancer surgery
• Appreciate the impact of advances in orbital radiation oncology on treatment planning and patient outcomes
• Learn how the surgical management of thyroid eye disease is evolving​
• Understand how the latest evidence is informing surgical decision making in orbital trauma

Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Section: Short Paper Prize

Prize: £100

Deadline: Thursday 16 September 2021

Open to: All trainees in relevant specialties – to be eligible for the prize the candidate must be registered with the General Medical Council and/or the General Dental Council in the United Kingdom or be studying medicine or dentistry at a United Kingdom university. The candidate need not be a member of the Royal Society of Medicine. Candidates must register for and attend the meeting if short-listed.

Application guidelines:  Papers should be on a topic related to orbital surgery or research related to the topic. Abstracts should be no more than 200 words (excluding title, authors and references). The best abstracts will be chosen for presentation at the section meeting on Thursday 4 November 2021.
