Global cancer control: Bridging boundaries

17th November 2023 @ 7:30 am - 7:00 pm

Join us for this engaging and informative meeting, as part of the London Global Cancer Week, to hear from a delegation of international experts who will speak about global disparities in cancer care and control and present various strategies to improve cancer outcomes. These strategies will cover the cancer care continuum from prevention, screening, early diagnosis and treatment to palliative care and survivorship. The meeting will also cover several topics, such as the role of women, communication, education, intelligence gathering and technology in cancer care.

By attending, you will also hear from those working on novel and innovative ways to change current inequalities and inequities to enable capacity building in LMICs. Issues such as the financial toxicity of cancer care will be discussed, and the “Choosing Wisely” and “Common Sense in Oncology” movements will be highlighted.

Winners of the Vanessa Moss prize will also have the opportunity to present their work during the meeting.

By attending, you will:

  • Learn about current examples of good practice in cancer care across six continents
  • Learn about future ways of improving cancer outcomes globally through the use of technology and scientific advances
  • Hear from leading experts about global disparities in cancer care and control
  • Drive north-south and south-south collaborations to close the cancer care gap
