Annual Stephen Hawking Foundation MND Lecture
17th November 2021 @ 6:15 pm - 8:15 pm
What you need to know, and what you need to ask to deliver person centred care.
The Annual Stephen Hawking Foundation MND Lecture aims to make latest research freely available to improve practice and quality of life for people living with MND.
The lecture, supported by the Stephen Hawking Foundation and presented by the MND Association and RCN, will appeal to all health and social care professionals, students, patients and carers.
The objectives for the 2021 lecture are to:
- introduce and explore the relevant recommendations for end of life and palliative care within NICE Guideline NG42
- consider the practical application of the recommendations to ensure the delivery of person-centred care, and present good practice examples for attendees
- outline new research or findings in the field.
At the end of the lecture, attendees will have
- a better understanding of good palliative and end of life care for people living with MND
- practical examples of the provision of timely and effective palliative and end of life care to consider for use in their own environment
- an appreciation of new or emergent practice or research in the field.
